Park Rules
These good neighbourliness rules are for the protection of all Holiday Home owners enjoyment of SwaleView Caravan Park.
- Chimenia stoves are not permitted.
- Access to caravans is by official road only. No moving of blocked access barriers.
- Electricity supply is charged and metered at OFGEM rates, plus annual service charge of £35 + VAT (5%) + agents charges. Meters will be read on the 31st October and 31st June.
- All caravans must be insured. A copy of the insurance certificate must be sent to the office.
- An effective fire extinguisher is required by law to be fitted in each caravan.
- Holiday sub-letting of caravans is not allowed.
- One dog per pitch holder is permitted. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. (£50 fine for dog fouling)
- No ball games are permitted within 50 yards of any caravan.
- Tents are not permitted; permission must be obtained from the office.
- Clients are asked not to trespass on private land over the river. Clients are asked to note to visitors that trepassing on the private land is strictly forbidden.
- Caravans must be supported at the corners by their metal jacks only. Blocks are permitted under the axle only. Wheels are not to be removed. Windbreakers and gazebos are not to be left up when not in use. Clients are asked to display their name to assist in identifying their caravan.
- Private caravan sales are not permitted. Sale of a caravan on pitch may be permitted by the proprietor. Commission charges and particluars are available on request.
- It is the pitch holder's responsibility to keep the grass around their caravan cut and the pitch tidy. Please place cut grass and turf etc in bins. If staff have to maintain an untidy pitch a £30 charge will be levied. No items are to be left under caravans. Only metal storage containers are recommended by the office. No bikes or artifacts to be left under or next to caravans. Any items left under caravans will be removed by the park staff.
- Please consult park staff before constructing decking, to comply with fire regulations.
- The park is closed from the 15th January to 1st March inclusive. During this period visiting the caravan is permitted for inspection and repair during daylight hours only. Gas bottles are to be securely locked or placed inside the caravan. If your caravan is connected to the water supply, please ensure the stopcock is off and the system is drained. If connected to the electricity supply please place a waterproof cover over the connection box. Caravans can be winterised if required.
- Gas refills are available at the office. For cash or pre-payment by arrangement, 47kg gas bottles will only be delivered during normal office hours; 9 - 12 noon and 1 -5pm Monday to Friday. Please ensure you have a spare gas bottle to connect to during out of office hours. Change over valves are to be fitted to all caravans. Only Calor Gas bottles are to be used (from the office). Gas appliances to be serviced annually, a copy of the certificate is to be sent to the office. All non-Calor Gas bottles are to be removed from the Park.
- There is a strict speed limit of 10mph for all motor vehicles on the Park and only holders of full licences may drive a vehicle on the Park.
- Metal storage boxes must be used; size recommended is 6" x 4" x 4", available through the office at a price of £500. Plastic storage boxes are not permitted due to fire regulations.
- Please consult the office before driving metal stakes into the ground to secure caravans.
- A maximum of 1 car only may be parked next to a caravan. No trailers or commercial vehicles are allowed on the park. All other vehicles must be parked in the overnight car parking area.
- Recycling bins are provided within their own compound. Clients are asked to use these facilities in order to assist in the maintenance of the envirnoment.
- Static caravans exceeding 15 years old must be removed or upgraded. Caravans exceeding 11 years old are not to be sold on the park.
- Please display an evacuation procedure in the caravan.
