Swaleview wins Bellamy Conservation Award
October 2008
Swaleview Caravan Park has recently been awarded the prestigous David Bellamy Conservation Silver Award, recognising our efforts to make the caravan and lodge park as eco-friendly as possible.
Swaleview Park's rural location in 13 acres of woodland on the banks of the River Swale provide natural habitats for many species of plants, animals and birds. To aid animals and plants we have planted many indigenous trees and sown flowers with high pollen-bearing blooms in the hope we can attract a wide range of commmon, and less common, butterflies. The park has nesting boxes for bats and owls and uses low-level lighting, helping to reduce light pollution. Visitors benefit by being able to enjoy the night sky and see their way to their caravan or lodge!
